Evaluation of Generation I of the Workforce Innovation Regional Economic Development (WIRED) Initiative

Under contract to the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, BPA has partnered with the University of California, San Diego Extension (UCSD) to conduct a four-year evaluation of the Generation I WIRED regions. The evaluation will provide a comprehensive understanding of the implementation and cumulative effects of WIRED strategies, including transformations in their regional economic and workforce development systems. The study also focuses on the extent to which a range of partners from the private sector, economic and workforce development agencies, education and training organizations, and foundations form regional collaborations committed to economic transformation.
