TANF Child Care Collaboration Evaluation

The TANF Child Care Collaborative Project is a joint initiative of the Child Care Law Center, the Welfare Law Center, and the National Organization of Women's Legal Defense and Education Fund. It is designed to address deficiencies in the administration of the subsidized child care systems under welfare reform in five states. The Collaborative is using a variety of legal, advocacy, and educational strategies to improve the capacity of local-level advocates to work on behalf of low-income families attempting to access suitable child care. BPA's evaluation is providing the Collaborative partners with feedback on the project's implementation and effectiveness. It involves assisting project staff with the documentation of project activities, interviewing staff and local stakeholders, and attending state conferences for observation.
