Long Beach Unified School District TechnoLearning Project
The Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) contracted with BPA to conduct an independent evaluation of the TechnoLearning Project. The major goal of this evaluation was to assess, for each grant year, TechnoLearning's progress towards attaining its goals and objectives. The LBUSD TechnoLearning Project, funded by a California Department of Education Technology Literacy Grant, was designed to integrate technology into the math and language arts curriculum in selected middle schools. A central goal of the grant was to use technology to increase the number of students in participating classrooms who met state and district standards in language arts and math. The implementation of the grant focused on technology acquisition and teacher training. Goals and objectives were established for raising the level of teacher technology proficiency and to increase the frequency of technology use in the classroom.
