Emily Rosenthal, Senior Analyst
Emily has more than five years of experience in the early childhood research field. Her research interests include early education and care policy, workforce policy as it relates to child care, universal preschool, language and literacy development, as well as family dynamics in the early childhood years, particularly nonresident fathers and their involvement in their children's lives. Emily also has experience in survey development and management, as well as data management. Before joining BPA, Emily earned a Master's degree in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, while she worked for the National Center for Children and Families as a graduate research assistant on the Fragile Families Child Care Study, the Fifth Grade Follow-up of the Early Head Start Evaluation, and the After-School Time project. Before entering the masters program in the Fall of 2005, Emily worked for the American Institutes for Research assisting with the U.S. Department of Education's Early Childhood Longitudinal Studies. She earned her B.A. in Human Development from the University of California at San Diego (2001).
