Raquel C. Sanchez, Ph.D., Senior Analyst
Raquel Sanchez holds a Ph.D. in Educational Linguistics from Stanford University (2006). She has experience in both qualitative and quantitative research design and implementation. Her research focuses on the evaluation of teacher professional development programs and student interventions designed to improve the educational outcomes of English learners. Raquel also holds a Master's degree in Education, with a concentration in TESOL, from California State University Los Angeles, and the California Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (BCLAD - Spanish). Prior to joining our staff in 2004, she worked for over eleven years as an ESL/Bilingual teacher in California public schools and community colleges. Through her research at BPA, Raquel seeks to improve access to academic curriculum and program services for cultural and linguistic minorities.
