Chris M. Furgiuele, M.P.P., Research Analyst
Chris Furgiuele’s research interests are focused on policies pertaining to education, workforce development, and income security. Since joining BPA in September 2003, Mr. Furgiuele has worked on the State of Louisiana's TANF Evaluation and the analysis of adult basic education programs that promote successful transition to enrollment in community colleges. Mr. Furgiuele is skilled in quantitative analysis, research methodology, and survey design. Prior to joining BPA, Mr. Furgiuele conducted research on the ability of need-based financial aid policies to increase access to higher education, and on the effectiveness of the transfer function in California’s Community Colleges. Mr. Furgiuele also has four years of experience teaching high school students, university students, and adult learners. Mr. Furgiuele has a BA in economics from Syracuse University and a M.P.P. from the University of California, Berkeley.
