Paola Rochabrun Oliveira, Analyst
Paola Rochabrun Oliveira holds Bachelors degrees in both Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Occupational Safety and Health from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. While she was working at BPA, Ms. Rochabrun Oliveira completed her Master's degree in Social Work at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu. While in graduate school, she completed a two full-year internships. During that time, Ms. Rochabrun Oliveira undertook three internship positions as a Program Coordinator of the University of Hawaii, Hilo (UHH) Bridge to Hope program under the Minority Access and Achievement Program, as a Program Coordinator with the Osher scholarship program, and as an intern social worker by working with elderly residents of the Life Care Center in Hilo.Paola has more than five years of experience working for The Institute for Family Enrichment (TIFFE), formerly as a skills trainer and currently as a Behavioral Instructional Support Service Consultant (BISS) providing intensive intervention to disabled students in the classroom. She supervises skills trainers that work one on one with disabled students; collects, interprets and reports data; develops students' monthly service plans and behavioral support plans; works with students' families and teachers; and; and instructs state personnel in leading and directing activities of the paraprofessionals.
